- What made you decide to live a slower life and move to your Basque farmhouse in the mountains?
Both my husband and I work in the city, so we wanted a place to live that was quiet, where you could come home and have the peace that you don't get during the day at work. We like to go for a walk in the mountains with the dogs and our daughter without having to take the car to do it.
- How was the adaptation process?
The process was very easy. We are both homely people who like to spend and enjoy time at home doing tasks such as gardening, and also having a car, it is very easy to get where we need to go.
- Your Instagram account, “Una casita en la montaña,” has grown tremendously. How has your life at “la casita” influenced the type of content you share?
My Instagram account has been a part of my life. What started out as a hobby, and still is, has also become part of my professional life. It influences my life at “the little house” because, in addition to being a house where we live every day, it is also the “stage” where I record practically all the content. For example, in my house the Christmas decoration lasts 2 months, because in November I start showing Christmas content to inspire and give ideas to my followers so they can prepare their houses with time and without stress for those special dates.
- The aesthetics of your account are very carefully crafted, with a bucolic and welcoming feel. How do you define your style?
I think my style can be defined as “rustic-modern” because it is a combination of current minimalist elements with more rustic pieces and materials, such as unworked natural wood or stone to counteract the coldness of minimalism.
- What would you say is the best and worst thing about living in the mountains?
The best thing is to be able to interact directly with nature and farm animals at any time, without having to travel, being able to take a quiet walk just by leaving the house, it is something we do very often.
The worst thing is that you have to worry about having your shopping done properly so that you don't have to constantly go to the supermarket for things you've forgotten, because that means taking the car for every little thing.
- In addition to your little house in the mountains, you now also have your little house in the village… it is clear that peace and quiet is something you are looking for. Is life in the mountains very different from life in the village?
They are very similar, calm lives, in which you seek to enjoy the environment that surrounds you and try to live without rushing within what the hectic pace of today's life allows you.
- What are the best outfits to enjoy a day in each of the houses?
Comfortable clothes, without a doubt, basic t-shirts, sweatshirts… that allow you to both enjoy the house and do your daily chores. I also look for clothes that are not only comfortable but also in neutral colors. I don’t like home clothes that clash and cause “visual noise.”

Entrepreneurship is also an important part of your day, since in addition to social networks (which is also entrepreneurship ) you also advise on decoration. Tell us about these two legs of entrepreneurship.
The Instagram account, as I have said before, has become part of my professional life, having an important weight in my day to day life due to the content that has to be created both for brands and for followers, since in the end they are the ones who make you grow and evolve, and you have to take care of them.
I have also started doing decoration consulting due to the numerous requests I was receiving from my followers, asking me to help them decorate their homes, so, taking advantage of my studies (I am an engineer) I am doing some decoration projects with plans included, and it is something I do with pleasure because I really enjoy choosing decoration for the rooms that they ask me for, so this part of decoration consulting also takes up another part of my daily time.
- Have you ever had any embarrassing experiences due to your choice of outfit?
Not embarrassing, but the outfit has played tricks on me on several occasions, when I'm wearing cool clothes on a day when you leave the house in 35 degrees and it ends up raining cats and dogs and the temperature drops by 15 degrees in an instant. The weather in the Basque Country is quite peculiar and in summer it often changes radically without warning.
- What is the oldest piece of clothing you have that you haven't thrown away yet?
A dark brown, long-sleeved, flared shorts jumpsuit with a print of small autumn flowers and a very pretty back, which my sister gave me from her wardrobe and which I still wear in autumn/winter with thick tights and camel-coloured suede boots.
- A style that you feel (very) identified with
I like to dress basic, it's what I feel most comfortable in, I have white short-sleeved t-shirts in all shapes and sizes in my closet, but at the same time, I like to dress well, like for example with a blazer, and give it a touch with accessories like a nice belt or an original bag.
- What changes would you like to see in the fashion industry? Are you one of those who stop to analyze what you buy or are you carried away by fast fashion?
The truth is that I rarely stop to analyze what I buy, but of course, everything that is aimed at sustainability in all the processes of this industry is always welcome and is the approach that all brands should have today.
- What do you wear, for example, for a day of teleworking?
Leggings, basic short-sleeved T-shirt and sweatshirt if the temperature requires it.
- Weekend or vacation, do you prefer to drive or be driven?
I love driving. I drive a lot during the week for work and I don't mind driving in my free time too. I like cars and everything to do with them.
- When you go on a trip, do you stay in a hotel, apartment or cottage?
If I go alone with my husband to rest, we look for a hotel for the comfort of all the services they offer. If we go with our daughter, we look for an apartment or a small house, for the freedom of being able to cook whatever you want whenever you want, and they are also much more spacious than a hotel room, so the girl can move around freely.
